triOS College CEO, Frank Gerencser has been awarded Diversity Magazine’s Transformation Award for Innovation in the education sector. Each year, Diversity Magazine honours 12 people of diverse backgrounds for achievements in different categories.

Nominees are people who inspire, transform, empower, showcase, and celebrate the essence of Diversity Magazine. A committee under the direction of Silvertrust Communications selects successful candidates, who are then honored at a prestigious gala.

Gerencser was recognized alongside Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion, Former Minister and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Canada, the Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine and several other distinguished award recipients.

For close to 30 years, Gerencser has dedicated his life to getting people back into the workforce by providing the best career training available. “I am truly honored to receive this award. My life’s passion has been to actively promote the benefits of Career Colleges to Canadians. I have seen so many lives change for the better because of career training and I am very touched to be recognized for my efforts in the industry,” said Frank Gerencser, Chairman and CEO of triOS College Business Technology Healthcare.

In addition to ensuring the success of triOS College, Gerencser has extended his efforts to support the entire career college sector. He has served on the Career Colleges Ontario board for the past 16 years as Board Member and former President and is Chair of a number of committees working with the government. He also serves on the National Association of Career Colleges board and is an active member of Training Completion Assurance Fund (TCAF) Advisory Board. He was recognized for his service to the Career College community with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Frank Gerencser was given his award at The Transformation or Diversity Awards Gala, June 28th 2014 at Liberty Grand in Toronto. Presented by Silvertrust Communications and the Transformation Institute, the awards followed the 2014 Diversity Expo, which took place two days before the gala.
