Police Foundations Instructor (January 2018, Part-time)
triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc., Hamilton campus, is actively seeking a law enforcement professional interested in joining the campus team as an Instructor for the Police Foundations program.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality delivery of assigned courses within the Police Foundations program, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments and exams.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-years of police service experience. Related diploma or degree from a recognized Law Enforcement program is preferred. The ability to enhance written material with personal experience is essential. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Intermediate MS Office skills are required. Excellent communication and organization skills along with a professional attitude. An individual recently retired from the police service would be considered for this opportunity.
Hours of Work:
This position is a part-time opportunity. Hours of work will be four (4) hours per day, Monday to Friday, and will be scheduled from 1pm - 5pm.
The scheduled start for this opportunity is January 2018.
