INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS
GENERAL INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS
All Instructor positions are required to provide quality delivery of assigned courses utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments and exams.
CURRENT INSTRUCTOR OPPORTUNITIES
MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION FACILITATOR (Immediate)
We have an immediate opportunity for a Medical Transcriptionist to facilitate our online Medical Transcription program. The successful individual will facilitate our medical transcription program through primarily electronic communication and scheduled campus visits. As the successful candidate you will provide medical transcription student orientation, work with Can Scribe, ensure all student marks are submitted to respective Campus Directors, set up final exams and work with students that need to complete rewrites. Candidates must have university degree or college diploma and a minimum of three years transcription experience. Nursing or industry certification (RMT or CMT) as well as previous teaching experience would be an asset. MS Office and Internet skills are required. Excellent oral communication skills and a professional attitude along with a passion for teaching are key to being successful in this role. You must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license and access to a vehicle for scheduled campus visits.
PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER (Clinical) INSTRUCTOR (Immediate)
We require an experienced PSW Clinical Instructor to teach the practical portion of the PSW program. Qualified candidates must either be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a minimum of 3 to 5 years practical long term care and/or community experience. Previous clinical and/or theory teaching experience is considered an asset. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are essential. This is a part-time position with various daytime hours.
COMMUNITY SERVICE WORKER (CSW) INSTRUCTOR (Immediate)
We require an experienced Community Service Worker (CSW) Instructor. The successful candidate must possess a BA/BSC or equivalent in Public Health and/or Social Services. A minimum of 3 to 5 years practical public health and/or social services experience is required. Previous teaching experience is mandatory. MS Office skills required. Excellent oral communication skills and a professional attitude along with a passion for teaching is a must. This position is considered a permanent part-time opportunity, working on average four (4) hours per day, Monday to Friday.
WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT INSTRUCTOR (Immediate)
We require an experienced Web Design & Development Instructor. The successful candidate will deliver our curriculum including Introduction to Programming, C# Programming, Web Fundamentals, Visual studio, ASP.NET, Web Server Administration (IIS), AJAX, Microsoft SQL Server/Database Fundamentals, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, Flash (Animation), and JavaScript. Qualified candidates must be a certified MCSD and have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of practical related I.T. experience in the field. 1 - 2 years of classroom teaching experience is preferred. In addition to teaching program curriculum you will be responsible for administering exams, marking and attendance. Your prior teaching experience and professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role. This position is considered a permanent part-time opportunity, working on average four (4) hours per day, Monday to Friday.
VIDEO GAME DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT INSTRUCTOR (Immediate)
We have immediate opportunities for video game programmers and video game artists interested in joining our team as Video Game Design & Development (VGDD) Instructors.
The modules taught in this program include Introduction to Programming with C, C++ Programming, Java Programming, Video Game Core Foundations, Video Game Core Prototyping, 2D Video Game Development, Modification Video Game Development, Mobile/Online Video Game Development, and Video Game XNA Development.
Successful candidates must have experience within the video game industry as a programmer, artist, or a combination of both and have 1 – 2 published titles. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a focus in Graphics Programming. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role.
In addition the successful candidate will have experience with one or more of the following languages or software; C, C++, OGRE, RakNet, PhysX, Maya, XNA, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash Game Development, Dreamweaver, Flash Animation, JAVA, Eclipse, BlueJ, Apache Ant and/or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. This position offers the opportunity for the candidate to teach specific modules relevant to their knowledge and experience.
Dependent on the number of modules the successful candidate can teach, relevant to their experience, this position may be considered a full-time, part-time or casual opportunity.
Hours of work for this position will be 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and / or 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday to Friday. Each module will run for at least one week in duration, with some modules lasting up to 8 weeks.

CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS
CAREER SERVICES CONSULTANT – 1 Year Contract (Immediate)
We are actively seeking a Career Services Consultant with our Mississauga campus for a one year contract opportunity. The primary function of this role will be to successfully place triOS graduates into jobs in an industry related to their training through business development activities and to provide students with the knowledge and skills to conduct an independent job search to secure employment.
Key Responsibilities
Contacting businesses to promote triOS graduates and events. Contacting employers to source out leads for job opportunities and on-campus visits as well as monthly reporting and placement tracking. You will teach Career Management classes as scheduled, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with recruiting firms to place graduates, attend networking events, trade shows and job fairs, develop student success stories, graduate profiles , graduate and employer references for use in marketing. Arrange for employers to attend events such as Career Fairs, Lunch and Learns, Student Class Presentations.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in recruitment (proven experience with placements), and or business development. Demonstrated 3 years experience training/teaching adults in career management and employment facilitation and one to one counselling. Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Business or Career Development would be considered an asset in addition to knowledge of employment search techniques, career management competencies, training needs analysis, one-on-one counselling techniques. The candidate will have excellent presentation and facilitation skills; strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills; as well as be customer focused and service oriented with excellent communication skills. Proven proficiency is required in MS Office Applications, specifically Word and Excel.
This position will require the successful candidate to have their own transportation and a valid Ontario Driver’s license. The successful applicant will be required to complete a criminal background check.
