INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS

 

All Instructor positions are required to provide quality delivery of assigned courses utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments and exams.

 

CURRENT INSTRUCTOR OPPORTUNITIES

 

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT Fieldwork Placement Supervisor (November 2014)

 

We are actively accepting resumes from registered Occupational Therapists interested in joining our team as Occupational Therapist Assistant Fieldwork Placement Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide supervision and mentorship for triOS students completing their occupational therapist assistant placement. This supervision will occur in the placement facility. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience in medical terminology, the appropriate education and will be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Demonstrated leadership skills including supervision, motivation and facilitation are preferred. Intermediate MS Office skills and strong command of the English language both written and verbal are essential. This position is a part-time position. Hours of work will be 7.5 hours / day for 5 days / week, while scheduled. The successful candidate must be comfortable with having gaps in their work schedule where there will be no hours of work as a result of student placement schedules.

 

PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER - THEORY INSTRUCTOR (For Future Opportunities)

We are actively accepting resumes for future opportunities from Registered Nurses interested in joining our Windsor campus team as an in-class Personal Support Worker Instructor. To be considered for this position you must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A minimum of 2 years practical experience in nursing, working with or as a PSW, is required. Previous teach experience is preferred. The ability to enhance written material with personal experience is mandatory. Your professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, supervisor English communication, and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role. Hours of work for this position will either be 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. or 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., Monday to Friday.

CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS

 

EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST (Immediate)

 

We are actively recruiting for a career services professional interested in joining our Windsor campus team as an Employment Specialist.

 

The primary function of this role is to successfully place triOS graduates into jobs in an industry related to their training through business development activities and to provide students with the knowledge and skills to conduct an independent job search to secure employment. The successful candidate will also identify internship hosts and place triOS students into internships in roles related to their training. This role involves cold calling employers and networking at events. Conducting student orientations and managing student information are required functions of this role.

 

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in recruitment and or business development. A minimum of 3 years’ experience training / teaching adults in career management, employment facilitation and one-to-one counseling is preferred. Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Business or Career Development will be considered an asset.

 

You will have excellent presentation and facilitation skills; strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills; as well as be customer focused and service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be expected to work within deadlines and objectives. Proven proficiency is required in MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.

 

This is a full-time permanent position and will require the successful candidate to have their own vehicle and a valid Ontario Driver’s license.
