Social Media & Communications Specialist (Immediate, Full-time)
triOS Corporation is actively seeking a Social Media & Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team at the Campus Support Centre in Mississauga.
As part of the marketing team the Social Media & Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of strategically targeted content across a variety of communication channels that deliver audience engagement for triOS College and Eastern College. This will be achieved through the development of social media content; web, article, email and newsletter content; managing all social media activity; managing public relations initiatives: reputation management; as well as directing the developing of video content.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Accountable for developing and executing all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads that deliver student enrollment and employer relationships.
-Collaborates across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives.
-Develop effective social content that engages our existing audience, attracts new audiences, and drives traffic to our website and social properties.
-Manage & maintain social media calendar and properties ensuring the information is current and audience appropriate.
-Create, implement, and maintain a communications plan for triOS and Eastern.
-Editorial requirements include SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
-Responsible for delivering strategically- written copy for audience via website copy, video scripts, consumer education material and more for both print and digital platforms.
-Regularly update the company’s social media channels.
-Keep up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends.
-Ensure data on various websites is accurate, current and updated consistently with regard to promotional incentives, program offerings, events, etc.
-Understand company objectives and articulate and communicate it.
-Coordinate logistics and promotion for the student referral program
-Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related majors.
-Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in communications marketing, with specific experience managing social media and communications.
-Strong writing, editing and proofing skills.
-Ability to deliver idea-driven copy on schedule.
-Exceptional organizational and research skills.
-Effective relationship builder with the ability to work well at all levels of an organization in interact confidently with senior management.
-Ability to synthesize corporate and industry-specific information into polished marketing copy.
Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid provincial driver’s license is required to be considered for this position.
This position will be based out of the Campus Support Centre in Mississauga.
Hours of Work:
This position is a permanent full-time opportunity working 40 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required from time-to-time to attend tradeshows and other events scheduled.
The scheduled start for this opportunity is immediate.
