Getting Started With Instagram
Create, share, and connect with confidence.
About the workshop
This workshop is all about Instagram, one of the most popular social media apps in the world. You have probably heard people talk about it or seen it mentioned on television or in the news — but today we will take a closer look at what it really is and how you can use it.
Instagram is a visual platform. It is all about sharing photos and short videos, following people and topics you care about, and discovering new things — from hobbies and travel to food, art, and local community events. Many people also use it to stay connected with family and friends by sharing everyday moments.
Over the next two hours, we will go step by step so you can:
- Create and set up your Instagram account
- Learn how to follow friends, family, and interests
- Explore posts, stories, and hashtags
- Share your own photos with captions and filters
- Adjust your privacy settings to stay safe online
This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly session. You will see demonstrations, have the chance to practice, and ask as many questions as you would like. By the end, you will understand how Instagram works and feel more confident exploring it for yourself.
