Personal Support Worker Program

Success in today’s healthcare world depends on having well-trained employees who can multi-task to meet a variety of challenges. The triOS Personal Support Worker (PSW) program has been designed to provide students with all of the administrative and clinical knowledge and skills required for employment as a Personal Support Worker.

The Personal Support Worker program enables you to develop skills required to provide personal support services to patients and their families, clients, and residents in the community, at home, in hospitals and in long-term care facilities. Services provided by the PSW include assistance in routine daily living activities; mobility; personal care and hygiene; ongoing medical conditions; and management of household activities.

Students receive:

  • National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) curriculum that maps to the Ontario Provincial approved training standard;
  • Classroom in a real-world healthcare setting, on-site at a long-term care facility that includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, and other required equipment;
  • Clinical work placement in a long-term care facility;
  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Imagine Standard, and Windows are included in the program fees.
