TORONTO – triOS College is proud to announce the addition of a new and innovative Health Information Management program. Responding to a growing demand for Health Information professionals across Ontario, graduates of this program will play a central role in analyzing and transforming data leading to actionable insights in areas related to patient care, healthcare policy, and healthcare education. Developed in accordance with the Canadian Health Information Management Association’s 2022 curriculum, this program adheres to industry-standard practices and equips students with a strong understanding of key concepts and topics within the health information field.
“We’re very excited to begin offering an innovative Health Information Management program”, said triOS President Stuart Bentley. “Students will graduate with a solid foundation in health information management so that they can meet the growing needs of our healthcare sector and assist in innovating patient care.”
Over 76 weeks, students will study topics such as Concepts in Health Care for Health Information Management, Statistics for the Health Information Professional, Heath Law, and Database Management to equip them with the necessary skills they will need upon graduation. Students will also apply their knowledge and skills over the course of a 12-week practicum, allowing them to graduate with meaningful, hands-on experience. Upon graduation, students will qualify for rewarding careers such as Health Records Technician, Health Information Management Practitioner, or Medical Records Unit Supervisor, where they will be able to play a role in shaping the future of healthcare.
