$1500 Bursary For Laid-Off Retail Workers

At the end of January, HMV announced its closure of all retail stores in the Canadian market. This news, along with other announced retail chain store closures such as Danier, Jacob, Smart Set, and others have impacted thousands of Canadians.

Due to the announcement of retail store closures in the Canadian market, triOS and Eastern College recognize the impact and wish to assist those who have been impacted.

 

Both triOS College Business Technology Healthcare and Eastern College recognize this impact and wish to step in and help those who have been affected by these recent changes. In response, triOS and Eastern College are offering bursaries of up to $1500 that can be used towards any of their career training diploma programs to all those laid off after January 1st 2017 from a retail chain.

Stuart Bentley, the President of triOS Corporation says, “As career colleges, triOS and Eastern College provide training to get laid-off employees back into the workforce. Our bursary is a financial contribution to help people explore their career options.”Both colleges are encouraging former retail employees to visit triOS.com and EasternCollege.ca access the bursary. The bursary is applicable to all 9 triOS and 4 Eastern College locations throughout Ontario and in Atlantic Canada. Just simply print out the bursary and find the nearest location by checking triOS Locations or Eastern College Locations.

The bursary will help alleviate some of the stress for retail workers that have found themselves out of work and are looking at career options. Retail workers are encouraged to contact the campus nearest them and schedule a free career training counselling session. triOS and Eastern College have helped thousands of people get back into the workforce by offering specific career training, year-round starting points and substantial career services assistance to prepare students for starting a new career upon graduation.
