A postsecondary education is a big investment. Fortunately, there are many payment options available to triOS students. A brief description of some financing options available is outlined below. To learn more about these options, and to create your personal payment plan, speak to a triOS College Financial Aid Officer.
Monthly Payment Plan
A monthly payment plan can be arranged to suit your needs. Tuition and material costs are divided into
monthly payments throughout your program. The first payment is due on the first day of classes, and the
final payment is due approximately one month prior to completion of your studies. Payments are interest
free during your study period. All students are automatically eligible for monthly payment plans with no
credit check or co-signer required.
EduPay – Extended Monthly Payment Plan
For students who qualify, monthly payment plans may be extended beyond the end of your student period.
A credit check is required and some conditions apply. Please speak to a triOS College Financial Aid Officer
for more information.
Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
OSAP is a program funded by the provincial and federal governments through the National Student Loans
Service Centre.
OSAP is a needs-based program. This means that it provides loans, grants, scholarships and bursaries based
on a formula that compares your educational costs to expected contributions from your parents or your
spouse (if applicable) and your own income and assets.
OSAP provides eligible Ontario students with financial assistance to help pay for their tuition, books,
mandatory fees, living costs and transportation.
There are several different loans, grants, scholarships and bursaries administered by OSAP through a single
application process. For more information, speak to a triOS College Financial Aid Officer and visit www.osap.gov.on.ca
Out of Province Students
Students from provinces outside of Ontario may also qualify for loans, scholarships, bursaries and grants
administered by their provincial Student Financial Assistance Offices. For a list of provincial offices, please
visit the Government of Canada CanLearn website at: www.canlearn.ca/eng/main/help/contact/cao.shtml
Student Lines of Credit
Most major banks and credit unions offer student lines of credit to finance post secondary education. Please
visit your financial institution to find out more information.
Lifelong Learning Plan
The Canada Revenue Agency Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows you to withdraw amounts from your RRSP’s
to finance your education for you or your spouse (or common law partner). You may withdraw up to $10,000
per year, and up to a total maximum of $20,000.
For more information visit the Canada Revenue Agency website at:

(RESP), may use funds from the RESP to finance their education at triOS. For more information, please contact the financial institution holding the RESP and visit the Government of Canada CanLearn website at:

Employment Ontario
The Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) administers programs, such as
Employment Ontario, to assist individuals who are unemployed or who have qualified for Employment
Insurance. Students may qualify for postsecondary education financing through Employment Ontario or
other programs managed by MTCU.
For more information, speak to a triOS Financial Aid Officer and visit www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/tcu/ or call 1-800-387-5656.

and children of employees. Check with your employer, or your parent’s employer(s), to see if they offer any
education assistance or tuition re-imbursement programs that you may qualify for.
