PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The technology sector is on the rise and will continue to keep growing at a rapid rate. With essentially every business driven by technology, companies are starving for skilled employees to fill IT positions. The triOS industry-leading Network Administrator Diploma Program is designed for the individual seeking knowledge and certification in computer and network-related administration. In addition to communication and support training, students receive training on popular operating systems including Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Windows Server 2016. In only 33 weeks students can start their new and exciting careers in the computer and networking field.

INCLUDED COURSES

A+

This course introduces the essential operating system skills required of a software and microcomputer hardware support technician, and covers the skills necessary to achieve the Comptia A+ Certification (exams 220-901 and 220-902). More specifically, students learn how to use, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain the Windows Vista, 7 and 8 family of operating systems as well as basic configuration of Linux and MacOS. Students also learn the features of various hardware devices, as well as their configuration and maintenance. In addition, students learn how to upgrade, troubleshoot and repair microcomputer systems.

Career Management

Our Career Management program introduces students to the strategies and components of an effective job search, including self-marketing and awareness, skills inventory, job search tools and the job market. The Career Management course is delivered by our on-campus Career Services Team who are there throughout the job search to assist and mentor students towards achieving their ultimate goal of employment in their field of study. Our Team of Career Services Professionals maintain relationships in their communities with key employers and organizations that recognize the value triOS graduates have to offer. The skills learned throughout Career Management at triOS will continue to serve students in their job search as they navigate their new careers.

Network Administrator Internship

At the successful completion of the classroom hours of this program, students will be placed in a 240-hour internship at an outside organization. Students will have the opportunity to apply their new and developed skills in a real-world environment. Hosts include small, medium, and large organizations that have an Information Technology department, or organizations that provide technology and technology services.

Network, Mobile & Cisco Technologies

In this course students will learn the theory and concepts required to successfully administer and troubleshoot TCP/IP-based networks. Students will then expand their knowledge of TCP/IP-based networks by learning the configuration and support of mobile devices that use the ActiveSync protocol, as well as Cisco routers, switches and services. Additionally, In addition this course provides the conceptual foundation for later networking courses and introduces the concepts covered on the Comptia Network+ certification exam (N10-007) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam (200-125).

Technology Management for IT Professionals

Communication as well as time and project management skills are vital for success in today’s IT industry. Through the use of examples, demonstrations, projects and group activities, students will examine various communication, time and project management strategies and techniques that are commonly used within the IT industry. Moreover, this course introduces students to the concepts necessary to achieve the CompTIA IT Project+ certification (PK0-004).

Windows 10 Administration

This course introduces the skills and knowledge necessary to install, configure, administer, and support Microsoft Windows 10. In addition, you will learn about the various tools for administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10, as well as how to deploy and upgrade to Windows 10, configure disks, users, drivers, printers, network interfaces and security. This course is a prerequisite for all other Microsoft courses and covers the material tested on the Configuring Windows 10 Devices Certification Exam (70-697) and the Installing & Configuring Windows 10 Certification Exam (70-698) needed to obtain the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 10 designation.

Windows PowerShell Scripting

This course introduces students to the structure, function, and usage of Windows PowerShell for Windows administration. Students will learn how to use PowerShell to perform key system tasks as well as how to create and modify existing PowerShell scripts to automate system administration and provide reports.
