Getting Started With Chromebooks
Learn the basics. Get comfortable. Unlock the power of your Chromebook.
About the workshop
This workshop is designed especially for those who are new to Chromebooks or who may have used one just a little and want to feel more comfortable.
Chromebooks are wonderful tools because they are simple, affordable, and secure. They are designed mainly for going online — checking email, browsing the web, watching videos, connecting with family and friends, or exploring hobbies and interests. By the end of this four-hour session, you will see how a Chromebook can open up a world of opportunities while remaining easy to use.
During our time together, we will go step by step. You will learn how to:
- Turn on and navigate your Chromebook
- Search the internet safely and bookmark your favorite websites
- Send and receive emails using Gmail
- Adjust your Chromebook’s settings for comfort and security
- Use tools like Google Drive, video calls, and entertainment apps
This is a hands-on workshop, which means you will not just watch — you will practice each step on your own Chromebook with guidance and support every step of the way.
