    About the workshop

This workshop is designed especially for those who are new to Chromebooks or who may have used one just a little and want to feel more comfortable.

Chromebooks are wonderful tools because they are simple, affordable, and secure. They are designed mainly for going online — checking email, browsing the web, watching videos, connecting with family and friends, or exploring hobbies and interests. By the end of this four-hour session, you will see how a Chromebook can open up a world of opportunities while remaining easy to use.

During our time together, we will go step by step. You will learn how to:

    • Turn on and navigate your Chromebook
    • Search the internet safely and bookmark your favorite websites
    • Send and receive emails using Gmail
    • Adjust your Chromebook’s settings for comfort and security
    • Use tools like Google Drive, video calls, and entertainment apps

This is a hands-on workshop, which means you will not just watch — you will practice each step on your own Chromebook with guidance and support every step of the way.
