Getting Started With Google Tools
Learn the basics of Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, and more—all in one place.
About the workshop
This workshop is all about helping you feel more confident using some of the most popular and useful Google tools. If you already have a Gmail account, you have access to a whole suite of free tools that can make everyday tasks easier — from sending and organizing emails, to keeping track of appointments, storing and sharing files, creating documents and spreadsheets, and even backing up your photos.
Over the next four hours, we will take things step by step. Together, we will learn how to:
- Use Gmail more effectively with features like search, attachments, and signatures
- Stay organized with Google Calendar
- Store and share files safely with Google Drive
- Create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Explore the world with Google Maps
- Save and share photos easily with Google Photos
This is a hands-on workshop, which means you will get the chance to follow along, try things on your own device, and ask questions as we go. By the end, you will walk away with practical skills, a set of easy-to-follow handouts, and the confidence to use Google tools in your daily life.
Most importantly, remember this is a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment. There are no silly questions here — we are all learning together. So let us get started and see how these tools can help you stay connected, organized, and creative!
