LAW & SECURITY OFFICER

The Law & Security Officer program allows students to prepare for employment opportunities and career success in roles such as security guards and other related workers who guard property against theft and vandalism, control access to establishments, maintain order and enforce regulations at public events and within establishments. Law & Security Officers are employed by private security agencies, retail stores, industrial establishments, museums, etc.
- Firearms Safety Training
- Classes led by retired Police Officers
- Training requirements for obtaining a security guard licence under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005 (PSISA)
- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Imagine and Windows are included in the program fees

Our program is compliant with training requirements necessary for obtaining a security guard license under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005 (PSISA). Successful graduates of this program may apply to the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services to take the licensing exam required to become a Security Guard.
High School Graduation Diploma or Mature Student Status (18 years of age and academic achievement assessment passed). Passing score on the triOS entrance assessment. Demonstrated fluency in English (oral and written). Current and negative criminal record check.
