TORONTO – triOS College is excited to announce the launch of new Information Technology (IT) programs that meet modern industry demands. These programs include System Administrator, IT Administrator (Cloud), IT Administrator (Cybersecurity), IT Professional (Infrastructure, Cloud & Cybersecurity), Web & Development Fundamentals, Mobile Developer, Web Developer, and Mobile Web Developer. These programs have been developed in collaboration with industry experts to ensure that students learn the key concepts and skills that are relevant for employers as they train for in-demand careers across a range of different technology industries.

This suite of technology programs has been designed to offer learning paths within both IT administration and software development. Students have the option to choose between programs of varying lengths within one of those paths based on the topics they wish to pursue and how quickly they want to enter the job market. Our scaffolding approach to education allows students to learn one topic at a time with related subjects grouped together to maximize transferable knowledge. This approach not only allows students to focus their studies on one topic, but also allows students with little to no background in technology the time to grasp concepts and to develop their skillset.
Students enrolled in an IT administration program build industry-grade systems administration skills using modern technologies and practices throughout their entire program. In addition to learning foundational system administration topics (PC support, Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, network administration, and security fundamentals), students may choose to further pursue server automation, infrastructure (email, database, web), and cloud technology administration, as well as advanced network administration (Cisco, wireless) and cybersecurity. To allow students a competitive edge in the job market, many of the courses in our IT administration programs also map to industry certification. Program lengths vary from 34 to 82 weeks, and provide students with the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience through internships.
Students enrolled in a software development program build industry-grade development skills using modern development tooling and workflows throughout their entire program. In addition to learning foundational development topics (graphical design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Swift, Java, Git, and Github), students may choose to further pursue iOS and Android mobile development, as well as web development using PHP, Angular, and React. The integration of capstone projects also allows students to develop a functional and feature-rich mobile and web app that can be showcased to employers. Program lengths vary from 34 to 82 weeks, and provide students with the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience through internships.
